Diesel Exhaust Water Filter

The GORGO diesel filter uses water to filter diesel exhaust fumes and is capable of reducing pollutants by up to 85%. Bersy have developed a special washing system which is used here in this filter. As well as filtering the fumes the system reduces the temperature of the exhaust as well as the transformation of Nitrogen Oxide to Nitrogen Dioxide. The GORGO filter also acts as a spark arrestor, even when there is no water in the system.
Applications The filter can be used on any piece of equipment which has a diesel engine, it is particularly suited to equipment being used in confined spaces such as inside tunnels, mines and warehouses as up to 85% of exhaust fumes are eliminated. Steam vapour will be released from the filter when the system is at working temperature, consisting mainly of water. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Installation The filter can be fitted at any distance from the engine, it is recommended that the silencer is removed prior to fitting to avoid an increase in backpressure. The filter can be bolted to the frame or body and simply attached with a length of flexible exhaust pipe. Maintenance Due to the nature of the filter the water must be replaced every 8 hours of usage, after every 300 hours the system needs to be washed out with a high pressure jet to remove the build up of carbon from the exhaust. A special additive is added each time the water is replaced to assist in keeping the system clean The dirty water must be treated as hazardous and disposed of in the appropriate manor. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
